Trip to Rome

Claire and I recently visited Rome for a long weekend, we had a great time and I particularly enjoyed the opportunities for photography.  I'll be posting a number of updates from Rome over the next few weeks as I find the time to sort out the many photos I took.

All the shots from Rome were taken with an EOS 20d and a Sigma 10-20mm lens or a Tamron 24-135mm lens, I didn't want to cart any other stuff around so the rest was left at home.

I didn't have a tripod and there were people walking past all the time which precluded using slower shutter speeds to get around this many of the indoor shots were taken at ISO 1600 so I've used Imagenomic's Noiseware Professional to clean up any noise.  I've also made use of the Perspective => Transform option in Photoshop CS2 on a few images to try and fix any converging lines etc. even with the 10-20mm lens it wasn't always easy to get far enough away from things to not tilt the lens.
